Pro-Motion Advertising Rates and Deadlines

Pro-Motion Coupons, established in 1990, now mails a coupon book each and every month to over 195,000 residences in Northern Nevada. ADVO, Inc. marriage mails our coupons each month to 5 different zones: Zone A - North Reno @47,000, Zone B - South Reno @47,000, Zone C - Sparks/Spanish Springs @47,000, Zone D - Carson City/Dayton @33,000, and Zone E - Carson Valleys/Gardnerville/Minden/Genoa @15,000. You can see which book you get by the letters, A, B, C, D, or E on the back cover in the lower right hand corner. You can also receive all our advertisers' coupon offers by using this website to see what you're not getting in your zone. My competitors will love this, and hopefully you will too. Rates range from $135 to over $1,000 depending on the zone(s). Please call or email for full information on rates. By the way, all Pro-Motion ad copy materials, graphics, art, etc. are available free to all advertising companies, TV, radio, newspaper, other coupon books, etc. and only upon the request of the advertiser, of course.

Bill Wood founded Pro-Motion Coupons with the intention of providing its advertisers with the largest distribution for the lowest competitive cost for advertising that is easily measured and trackable. All residents, regardless of demographics or income, all homes and all apartments are sent a wide range of quality discount offers that hopefully address their needs and desires with easy to use coupons and family oriented content. You should consider the advantages of advertising your business in Pro-Motion Coupons.

Pro-Motion Coupons can be viewed as a "targetable shotgun approach". This approach has the benefits of localizing your advertising, if you only need smaller geographic distribution. It also has the advantage of complete market saturation. In this way, our large distribution/low cost per thousand economies of scale make it easier to recover your ad cost and hopefully you make more money on your ad. All our coupons are full 4 color ads. Image area is 3" x 6.5" for those wishing to design their own ad.

Yes, we're a coupon book! We love it when you use your coupon book, and we love it when you choose to advertise through us! We're very proud to represent the advertisers who choose us to distribute their coupon offers. We also recognize the fact that we are compared to many other forms of advertising, both direct mail alternatives like Val-PakŪ and Money MailerŪ, and other coupon books, flyers, etc., as well as TV, radio, newspaper, billboards, etc., etc., etc. It is our opinion that each business is unique in their advertising needs and what works and what doesn't varies. We know we're "just a little coupon book" printed on newsprint, but we can and possibly should be a very powerful addition to your marketing and advertising.

Compare us on cost and return on investment and Pro-Motion Coupons stand out as one of the least expensive and highest response generating vehicles available anywhere. Compare us on looks and we're not as pretty as Val-PakŪ or Money MailerŪ, so we don't have nice glossy magazine stock paper (maybe someday we will, but our prices would have to be higher). We also do not exclude apartments from our mailers or restrict them to demographic income levels. Sure, if you only mail to people you know have more money than others, their ability to buy your products and services is greater. However, their need, interest, and ability to pay for your products and services and timing probably take precedence over their zip code or carrier route.

If you're a very expensive restaurant and only want rich people, we're not for you. However, I contend that even nicer restaurants can benefit from advertising to all people who eat. If you think Pro-Motion Coupons will ruin your upscale image, or that only non-tippers or cheap skates use coupons, I'd like to challenge your thinking. In reality, all types of people will use the coupons, even those that are poor tippers, so what. You will also get those that tip very well, but do you think you will get more good tippers from another advertising source? Maybe, but hopefully you will see that busy restaurants are more fun to visit. Empty restaurants close. And, restaurants with excess capacity...? Well now, they should advertise in Pro-Motion Coupons! If you see an ad on a TV or radio program you find low class, do you stop going to that restaurant. Or, if you see a billboard in a bad section of town, would you avoid doing business with them? No, that's silly. In the same sense, if you think your restaurant or business is nicer, better or higher class, than any we have already in the coupon book, I challenge you to consider how that could possibly work in your favor to help your response rate (not to mention fill the empty tables in your restaurant). All I think that matters is that your advertising dollars work well for you and your business and not against you. Coupon advertising can be addictive, and some people will only return with a coupon. This is true. The good news is that the numbers are in your favor and you do not have to run any coupon or offer that will hurt your business. You have complete control over your ad and it's distribution.

I believe that every business should spend money on marketing and advertising everywhere you get a positive return on investment. Image and identity are important facets of any business and we believe that advertising in Pro-Motion Coupons only stands to make your business more approachable from a trial and frequency standpoint. If you think your brand image is "too good" to advertise in a coupon book, please consider some big brand names and local high end restaurants and franchises that advertise or have advertised with us in the past: Sears, Domino's Pizza, Godfather's Pizza, Subway, Midas Mufflers and Brakes, Peppermill Casino, Wienerschnitzel, Cingular Wireless, Long John Silver's, Atlantis Hotel Casino, Golden Phoenix Hotel Casino, Dirt Devil Vacuums, Mikasa Fine China, ADT Security, Jackson Hewitt, Merry Maids, Port of Subs, A&W restaurants, even the YMCA. More importantly, call some of our smallest, local, non-franchise, little known outside of our own area businesses and see what we are doing for them! For some, we may be the only good advertising vehicle they have ever found and we're even more proud of what we can do for these businesses. Anyone with enough money can buy a business with a recognizable name and build that business more easily. It is the small, independent business owner that strikes out on their own that deserve the most acclaim and who face the greatest obstacles. We've helped some of them too: Famous Murphy's, Joe Bob's, Sparky's, not to mention all the small businesses that don't aspire to franchise status that just run great small businesses, just like Pro-Motion Coupons, small, independent, and happy to stay that way.
